Raleigh Hughes of Winfield follows up his opening round 63 with a 70 and ties the tournament scoring record

GARDEN CITY, Kan. (Aug. 28, 2011) -- Raleigh Hughes, Winfield, tied the High Plains Amateur scoring record with a two day total of nine under par 133. Hughes final round 70 was good enough to hold off Wichitans Aaron Sheaks and Pete Krsnich who ended the championship four strokes back at five under par. Tracy Chamberlin, Wichita, captured the Masters division while Steve Newman, Wichita, and Steve Groom, Raytown, share the 2011 senior crown.
