HENDERSON, Nev. (Jan. 25, 2014) -- Coronado High School golf coach Joe Sawaia fired the day's only under-par round and leads by three shots after the first round of play at the 2014 Henderson Open at Revere Golf Club. Sawaia shot 1-under 71 and leads Michael Dart by three entering Sunday's finale. Devid Escay is alone in third at 3-over while Alex Lyon and Ryan McCullough shot 5-over 77 and sit tied for fourth place. In the Senior Division, James Hill holds a one-shot lead over Kevin Parrish while Frank Abbot is in a 2-over and holds a one-shot lead over Jim Cail in the Super Senior Flight. Ed White shot 4-over 76 and sits alone at the top of the net division by an impressive seven shots. The Henderson Open is a two-day, 36-hole stroke-play event with SNGA points awarded for top finishers.
