ASHLAND, NE (July 6, 2017) - After redshirting this past season as a sophomore for Nebraska Haley Thiele is back to her winning ways on the Nebraska amateur circuit.
Playing in this weeks Nebraska Women's Stroke Play Championship Thiele posted a 5-under showing with rounds of 71-66. During the final round Thiele played bogey-free 5-under golf with three birdies and en eagle on the par-5 12th.
The victory for Thiele tacks another Nebraska amateur victory onto her already impressive total that includes two Nebraska Girls Match Play titles.
Nicolle Barmettler finished second at even-par, Jordan York was third at 1-over, Susan Marchese was 4-over in fourth while Sophie Peters took fifth at 10-over.
