Hal Berman earns medalist honors at Richardson Memorial

One-under par 70 for Hal Berman at the Richardson Memorial Invitational is good enough for the No. 1 seed heading into match play

HEWLETT HARBOR, N.Y. (Sept. 17, 2014) — After 18 holes of stroke play qualifying for match play at the Richardson Memorial Invitational, Hal Berman's one-under par round of 70 edged three players to take home medalist honors. Berman will be the No. 1 seed when match play begins Thursday morning at The Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor, N.Y. Dave Segot, Don Enga, and Michael Karger all shot even-par on Wednesday, missing a playoff with Berman by one. Berman lost in the final last year to Richard Aue, who missed qualifying for match play this year finishing in a tie for 21st after a 76.
