Germany's Marc Mazur Wins European Mid-Am

Germany goes 1-2 as the players battled through difficult weather conditions that shortened the event to 36-holes

Czech Republic (June 4, 2016) -- The European Mid-am concluded Saturday at Golf Resort Karlovy Vary. The 54-hole event had to be shortened to 36 holes as poor weather conditions forced the cancellation of the 2nd round. Nonetheless, Germany's Marc Mazur shot the round of the tournament, an impressive final-round 67 to post 141 (3-under) and claim the title. Mazur trailed first-round leader Henrik Henningsson by five shots entering the final round but an eagle on the par-5 11th and a clutch birdie on the par-4 18th forced the issue. He ending up edging his fellow countryman Claudio Consul by one shot while Henningsson struggled to a 74 and ended up finishing solo third.
