Billy Mitchell of Roswell and Chris Waters (Atlanta) fire another 63 to lead at 18-under; Will Evans and Michael Standard are one back after an amazing 60

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (April 23, 2016) -- Billy Mitchell of Roswell and Chris Waters of Atlanta took advantage of the day's conditions and matched their opening round 63 in round two to lead the Georgia Four-Ball Championship at 18-under-par 126. The 45th edition of this event is taking place at Glen Arven Country Club, April 22-24. Will Evans and Michael Standard, both of McDonough, are in second at 17-under-par 127 (67-60). Adam Cooper and Bubba Gallops, both of Columbus, will begin the final round three strokes behind the leaders at 15-under-par 129 (66-63). Cooper and Gallops earned runner-up honors at last year's Georgia Four-Ball Championship at The Standard Club in Johns Creek. Forty players made the 36-hole cut at 3-over-par 147 or better. Entries were open to two-man teams of male amateur golfers who belong to a GSGA member club. The format is 18 holes of four-ball stroke play each day. The field was cut to the low 40 teams and ties after 36 holes.
