Gateway Senior: Groom wins by three

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 10, 2014) -- Steve Groom shot rounds of 72-74-74--220 to win by three shots at the 2014 Gateway Senior Invitational. Groom, of Missouri, bested runner-up Jack Bracken and held the lead wire-to-wire. Michael Jackson shot 74-74-76 to take solo third place while John Lockwood (75-74-77) and Mike Occi (78-71-79) rounded out the Top 5. John McCreary (71-77-74) topped the Super Senior Division. His total was just one shot better than Jon Abbett, who shot 71 in the final round but couldn't close the gap completely.
