HARBOR SPRINGS, Mich. (Aug. 31, 2008)--Tom Werkmeister, the Grand Rapids City Champion for the past three straight years, four-time champ overall, took home the Golf Association of Michigan Mid Amateur by one stroke over Eric Spencer.
Werkmeister finished at 6-under-par 138.
Ian Harris was the mid-senior champ, and second runner-up, at 140.
The event was held at the Boyne Highlands Resort.
