Gallery Invitational: Winners go low in finale

Tony Bagneschi and Ken Tanigawa (64) and Frank Ellenburg and Tim Blau (61) go low to win at The Gallery

MARENA, Ariz. (May 18, 2014) -- Tony Bagneschi and Ken Tanigawa fired a final-round 64 to nip Trey Martin and Adam Walicki by a shot at the 2014 Gallery Invitational. The two teams were tied at the top of the leaderboard after Round 1 on Friday. Martin and Walicki shot 65 to close but it wasn't enough to stop the red-hot team of Bagneschi and Tanigawa. Jeremy DeFalco and Bryan Hoops took solo third place, finishing four back of the winners. The two Arizona Golf Association regulars shot a pair of 68s for the event. Defending champions Matt Rosen and Chris Peebles finished in 11th place. In the Senior Division, Frank Ellenburg and Tim Blau shot a ridiculous 61 on Saturday to close in style and log a four-shot victory over Ben Snyder and Laurie Warder. Ellenburg and Blau opened with a 66 and sat tied for second before catching fire. Defending champions Cy Whitney and Tom Sweigart shot 66-67 to tie for third.
