The victory for Franklin is his first MAGA victory after being a top amateur in the area for the last few seasons, he is a past qualifier for the Match Play Championship and was Runner-Up in Metropolitan Amateur at Meadowbrook in 2010. This victory also gives Franklin a slim lead in the Player of the Year race.
