With one round remaining, former Arizona State standouts Ryggs Johnston and Wenyi Ding, along with 2023 Asia-Pacific Amateur champion Jasper Stubbs, are all in contention at the 2024 Australian Men's Open at Kingston Heath Golf Club in Australia.
Johnston is tied for the lead at 14-under with Lucas Herbert, while Ding and Stubbs are T5 at 12-under. Stubbs with join Herbert and Johnston in the final group.

Ding won the Asia Pacific Amateur in October of 2024, earning exemptions/invitations into the 2025 Open Championship and Masters if he stayed amateur. But he also earned a DP World Tour card via the Tour's new pathway program and decided to turn pro immediately.
Ding also won the 2024 Amer Ari Invitational and the 2024 Southern Amateur.
Stubbs turned pro in 2024 after playing in the 2024 Masters Tournament, an invite he received after winning the Asia-Pacific Amateur in 2023.
Johnston just earned his DP World Tour card through DP World Tour Q-School.
