Five-shot comeback for Trent Morrison at Nebraska Mid-Amateur

Trent Morrison trailed the first-round leader by five, yet managed to pull off the comeback to win by one stroke

BEATRICE, Neb. (Sept. 14, 2014) — A final-round, even-par 72 from Trent Morrison gave him a one-shot win at the Nebraska Mid-Amateur after being down five shots heading into Sunday's round. The opening-round leader, Ryan Nietfeldt was looking to defend his title after shooting 70 on Saturday but struggled to a 78 to allow Morrison to creep back into it. Nietfeldt finished alone in second place and two three shots ahead of third place.
