IRVINE, CALIF. (July 18, 2011) - Pete Fernandez carded an impressive final round 66 and the challenging Strawberry Farms golf club to win the Irvine City Championship by four shots over Aaron Levin.
Fernadez began the final day with a one stroke lead over Scott Travers (70-70—140). Fernandez’s two-day total of 69-66—135 placed him five clear of the former SCGA Amateur champion Travers who finished solo fourth, and four strokes clear of second place finishers Aaron Levine (72-67—149) and Rick Owaki (72-67—139).
Conner Cunningham was fifth with rounds of 74-71—144.
