MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (Aug. 7, 2013) -- Daniel Claytor of Barton College fired a 6-under 66 in the first round of action at the East Coast Amateur and leads by four shots.
At The Legends, Claytor tops a field of the region's top collegiate and junior players. Iowa's Nate Yanovich shot 2-under 70 and is alone in second --- one shot ahead of Jonathan Hardee, who plays at Alabama.
Second-round action in the 54-hole event begins Wednesday.
