SAN GABRIEL, Calif. — Doug and Alec Martinez defeated Chris and Eric Edmonds two-up in the Cravens Cup final match at San Gabriel Country Club, defending their title from a year ago at their home club — San Gabriel Country Club.
The four-ball match play event has been hosted at San Gabriel since 2015, and starts with 16 teams on Saturday as pairs play two matches per day to determine the winning duo by Sunday afternoon.
The Edmonds team, from Santa Ana Country Club, advanced to the final with a 2-and-1 win on Sunday morning against Mike Gallegos and Kevin Baker of Shady Canyon Golf Club while the winners had a hard-fought one-up win against Jeremy Moreno and Antonio Denesha of Santa Maria Country Club.
