Decker becomes first three-time Senior Porter Cup Winner

Keith Decker made history with his title on Friday at Niagara Falls Country Club

LEWISTON, NY (September 7, 2018) - In the 30-year history of the Senior Porter Cup six players had won the tournament twice. On Friday at Niagara Falls Country Club Keith Decker became the first player to win the tournament three-times.

Decker, a winner three years in a row, began the final round in the lead and closed with a 2-over 72 that was good enough to hold off the field.

The victory for Decker was his second AGC Senior Ranking win of the season to go along with his title at the Dave King Senior Invitational in early August. Decker has now won two or more ranking tournaments in each of the last three years. A resident of Martinsville, VA, Decker won four-times in 2016 and three-times in 2017 finishing those seasons ranked third and fourth in AGC Senior Rankings.

Paul Schlachter closed in 2-under 70, his best round of the week, to defend his Super Senior Division title winning by seven shots while John Blank earned a two shot victory in the Legends Division.
