Cheung, Threet share first-round lead at Oklahoma Stroke Play

Matthew Cheung of Oklahoma City University and Kacey Threet of Northeastern State share lead at 68

AFTON, Okla. (August 4, 2014) — After one round of play at the Oklahoma Stroke Play Championship, Matthew Chung and Kacey Threets narrowly hold a one-stroke lead over a heavy pack of competitors, including PGA TOUR player Scott Verplank's son, Scott. Both Cheung and Threet shot rounds of 68 on Monday at Shangri La Resort, while Verplank is in solo third place with a 69. Cheung and Verplank are teammates at Oklahoma City, which is one of the top NAIA golf schools in the nation.
