Cartersville Country Club wins Georgia Team Championship

The team from Cartersville Country Club knocked off the defending champion team from Dalton to capture the 2014 title

STATHAM, Ga. (Nov. 2, 2014) — Cartersville Country Club won the Georgia Team Championship at 11-under-par 349 (135-214). They finished seven strokes ahead of defending champions, Dalton Golf & Country Club, who earned runner-up honors at 4-under-par 356 (136-220). The 22nd annual team competition took place at The Georgia Club, November 1-2. Chad Branton, Cres Dodd, Chase Jones and Jayce Stepp made up the victorious Cartersville CC team. The held a one shot lead after day one over second place Dalton G&CC, whose team consisted of Brandon Kimmerling, Chase Miller, Tyler Mitchell and David Noll, Jr. The Georgia Club played to 6,929 yards and a par 72.
