Cal State Open: Hoey 2 shots back entering final round

Hoey shot a 4-under 68 Wednesday to follow his 6-under 66 on Tuesday and is only two shots off the lead

BEAUMONT, Calif. (July 18, 2012) -- Amateur Rico Hoey is just two shots back and tied for second place at the 2012 California State Open at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon's Champions Course. Hoey has remained in the mix throughout the first three rounds, following up his 6-under 66 in the second round with a 4-under 68 Wednesday. Yi Keun Chang is at 8-under following a stellar 6-under 66 to get back into the mix Wednesday. Jay Lim shot a 3-under 69 Wednesday and is tied for 24th at 6-under along with fellow amateur Ki Taek Lee.
