Brennan Amirkhizi wins Pasadena City

Amirkhizi overcomes a 6 shot deficit; fires 33 on the back nine on Sunday then wins playoff over Joshua Shou

PASADENA, Calif. (May 19, 2013) Brennan Amirkhizi won the Pasadena City Championship today at Brookside Golf Club's C.W. Koiner Course No. 1 thanks to a final round 69 (and back nine of 3-under 33). Amirkhizi, of Encino, entered the final round 6 shots behind past champion Tim Hogarth (77) and 5 behind Joshua Shou (74). He was the only player to break 70 on Sunday over the challenging 7046 yard William P. Bell layout. Dan Sullivan finished in a tie for third with Tim Hogarth at 2-under after closing with an even par 72.
