CHARLESTON, S.C. (Oct. 3, 2014) — Brady Exber rolled to his fourth consecutive Senior Azalea Invitational win on Friday, shooting an even-par 71 at The Country Club of Charleston to close out a nine-shot victory.
Exber, who has a win at the British Senior Amateur and runner-up finish at the Canadian Senior Amateur already in 2014, shot the lowest 54-hole total of his four straight wins in Charleston — 205. Exber shot 211 in 2011 and 2012, 208 last year, and dropped it three shots lower to 205 this year.
Exber shot back-to-back 67's on Wednesday and Thursday, having a nine-shot lead heading into Friday's final round. Second place finisher Russ Perry was just one shot back of Exber on Wednesday, shooting 68. But Perry went 75-71 in the final two rounds, still finishing alone in second place by four shots.
The three-way tie for third place featured Jack Hall, Bill Leonard, and Bill Zylstra. Lenoard's 69 was the lowest round on Friday.
