Brad Dalke shoots 62 to jump into lead at Junior PGA Championship

Soon-to-be Oklahoma freshman Brad Dalke made no bogeys while posting 29 on the front side to grab six-shot lead

BRYAN, Texas — Day two of the 40th Junior PGA Championship belonged to Oklahoma native Brad Dalke. The soon-to-be University of Oklahoma freshman went bogey-free on Tuesday, firing a nine-under par 62 at Miramont Country Club to jump out to a six-shot lead through 36 holes. The first-round lead was held on Monday by recent U.S. Junior Amateur champion Phillip Barbaree at 66, but after shooting even-par 71 on Tuesday, the Shreveport, La. native has fallen seven shots back of Dalke. Dalke, of Hobart, Okla., made six birdies during an incredible front nine to shoot 29 before "cooling off" and posting three-under 33 on the back side. His lead is six over high-school junior Kaiwen Liu of San Diego.
