HOUSTON, Tex. (Oct. 10, 2015) -- Mike Booker captured the Greater Houston Senior City Amateur hosted by Memorial Park Golf Course.
Booker, a past champion of this event in 2013, held a one shot lead entering the final round over Marshall Piper. Booker was not to be caught, firing a final-round 69 to win by three shots over Piper who shot a 71.
Booker can add this title to a growing list of accomplishments including winning this year’s Texas Senior Amateur Championship. Booker is also a former All-American at the University of Houston for which he helped earn a NCAA Championship Title in 1977.
