Booker rolls to 2nd straight Carlton Woods Senior

Booker led after Round 1 and never looked back

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (May 10, 2012) -- Mike Booker successfully defended his Carlton Woods Senior title with a dominating performance over the three-day event at The Carlton Woods Club.

Booker's three-day 70-66-74--210 was nine shots better than a group of four that finished tied for second place.

Booker led after Round 1 and never looked back. His 70 in Round 1 and 66 in Round 2 were two of the three lowest scores of the entire tournament. Owen Joyner shot a final-round 69.

"I thought it would be easy with a 9-shot lead,” said Booker. "I had some conservative thinking on the front nine and then decided to ditch that and play some golf on the back, and that sure worked out better for me."
