HOUSTON, Tex. (Oct. 10, 2015) -- Mike Booker leads by one after round two of the Greater Houston Sr. City Amateur hosted by Memorial Park Golf Course.
Booker, a past champion of this event in 2013 and this year's Texas Senior Amateur Champion, carded six birdies and no bogeys in his 2nd round to post 66 after an even-par 72 in his opening round. Booker is a former All-American at the University of Houston for which he helped earn a NCAA Championship Title in 1977.
Trailing Booker by one is Marshall Piper of Cypress, Tex. who sits at 5-under-par after rounds of 69 and 70. Day one leader Bob Kearney sits alone in 3rd place at 3-under-par after following up his 68 in the first round with a 73 today.
