August Kim takes Women's Trans-National

Four-under 284 total good for two stroke victory over Caroline Inglis

ELGIN, S.C. (August 1, 2014) — August Kim fired a final round 72 for a two-stroke victory at the Trans-National Amateur Championship on Friday. Her even-par round at the Members Club at Woodcreek left her at four-under 284 for the championship, two better than second place finisher Caroline Inglis. Kim made two birdies and two bogeys on her way to victory in the final round. She slipped up on the final hole with a bogey, but a lead over the field negated any impact the final hole could have had. Casey Danielson of Stanford posted the low round of the championship on Friday, carding a five-under 67 to vault up the leaderboard. Her six birdies and a bogey earned her solo third place at one-under 287 for the tournament. For full results, follow the link below.
