At Quintero Golf and Country Club, Marshall, the defending champion, leads Lee Decof and Tom Sweigart by three shots entering Friday's second of three rounds.
Patrick Geare is alone in fourth place after shooting 77 while Michael Kaufman, Alex Valer and Terry Beels sit tied for fifth.
