Anthony and Rangel opened with 7-under 65 and followed it with a 2-under 70. That left them one ahead of Patrick Burda and Brett Viboch, who had a more consistent showing with back-to-back rounds of 8-under 68.
“Playing professional golf before and then being out here in amateur golf, it’s a lot different,” Rangel said. “We’re both happy-go-lucky, just have fun. It’s just so different, you make a bogey and it’s no skin off your back anymore. We don’t’ get to see each other a lot and we like to go play golf and have fun.”
Mark Morgan and Tony Padilla won the senior title on the second playoff hole. Ron Johnson and Mark Miller finished on top of the super senior division with a 1-over 145 total.
