Andy Fogarty wins St. Louis Metropolitan Senior Amateur by seven

Andy Fogarty shot the only two under-par rounds in the tournament, winning by seven shots at Whitmoor Country Club

WELDON SPRING, Mo. — Andy Fogarty captured his first Metropolitan Senior Amateur title on Friday, shooting his second consecutive under par round to cruise to a seven-shot win at Whitmoor Country Club. Fogarty, whose two rounds were the only red numbers posted all week in the championship division, plays out of Missouri Bluffs Golf Club in St. Charles. He led by two after day one over Andy Frost, but a 70 on the final day to move him to three-under 141 was too much for the rest of the field to contend with. David Johnson and Tom Barry tied for second place at four-over par 148, while Scott Edwards grabbed fourth at 149.
