Abbondandolo shoots 65, leads Long Island Mid-Amateur by five

Former Siena College golfer shoots five-under par at Brookville Country Club, leading his father by five, who is tied for second

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (September 8, 2014) — Daniel Abbondandolo, a former golfer for Siena College, leads the Long Island Mid-Amateur Championship by five shots after the first round. Sitting in a tie for second place is Daniel's father, Rocco Abbondandolo at even-par 71. Also tied for second is Steven Tarulli Defending champion Darin Goldstein is tied for 13th with four others at 74, nine back of the leader.
