Moldovan turned professional after graduating from Ohio State last Spring, and he has struggled some since
He highlighted those struggles in an Instagram post after his win.
"The start to my pro career wasn’t what I had hoped for or planned," Moldovan said in an instagram post. "Last year was filled with lots of disappointment, doubt, fear, anger, and impatience. I put a ton of pressure on myself and had very little freedom, peace, or confidence. It was difficult to believe weeks like this past one would happen in the future."
Moldovan added, "My faith was challenged and tested greatly. Through the disappointments and struggles I had, I believe that God challenged me to let go of the control I thought that I had, to fully submit to Him and trust His plan for my life, and to no longer find a lot of my self-worth in results."
