After winning two massive events, the Georgian talks about making tough decisions and how he's honed his game at the senior level
Rusty Strawn won the U.S. Senior and Canadian Senior Amateur Championships in the span of nine days. Strawn’s golfing story is one of loyalty and discipline. He made some hard decisions in his 20s and 30s that took him away from competitive golf but set him up for the trophies he is collecting now. We talk about his golf origin story, his college years, hunting, how Bob Jones (Bobby Jones’ grandson) helped him with his mental game, and how the British Sr. Am this summer sharpened his game and focus.
Rusty chatted with us following his first round in the Georgia Senior Am, that’s where we start our discussion. His grouping was very interesting.
