CARLSBAD, Calif. (Dec. 20, 2011) -- The 2011 amateurgolf.com Tournament Series started with a bang at Pasatiempo Golf Club in January, when Jeffrey Hamm holed out his second shot for double eagle on the 9th hole to win the Alistair Mackenzie Cup. We ended at Stevinson Ranch in December, with Barry Logar getting the win on the second hole of a sudden-death with Patrick Grimes. Along the way, we visited Monterey (three times), Bandon Dunes, Ore., and even Carlsbad, the "World HQ" of amateurgolf.com.

Players of the year for each of our three divisions are now officially etched on the perpetual trophy. They are:

CHAMPIONSHIP

Randy Haag: Continuing his stranglehold on the title since amateurgolf.com first began awarding it, Randy Haag is again the Championship Division Player of the Year. In 2011, Haag took home the California Mid-Amateur, the Wine Country Cup and tied for first at the Monterey County Four-Ball. Haag added a second place finish at the Bay Regional Championship, a third-place effort at the Monterey Bay Championship, a fourth-place finish at the Silicon Valley Amateur and placed sixth at the Alister MacKenzie Cup.

SENIOR

Mark Miller: A regular on the amateurgolf.com Tournament Series, Mark Miller is the 2011 Senior Division Player of the Year. Miller was spectacular in 2011, winning three events. He took home victories at the Monterey Bay Championship, the Wine Country Cub and finished tied at the top at the Monterey County Four-Ball. He was in position to win every event he played in, placing second at the Christmas Classic, third at the Silicon Valley Amateur and fourth at the California Mid-Am and Alister MacKenzie Cup.

Bryan Beaver: With his handicap nearing a 4, tournament golf is clearly helping Bryan Beaver graduate to the Championship Division. But that doesn't mean he didn't enjoy his time in the Net Division where he earned 2011 Player of the Year honors. Beaver won the Silicon Valley Amateur and the California Mid-Amateur this season. A fifth-place finish at the Alister Mackenzie Cup and a third-place honor at the amateurgolf.com Tour Championship only helped solidify the stellar season Beaver had in 2011.
