(August 15, 2016) -- Chip Lutz continued his impressive play of late, as he made the cut at the
U.S. Senior Open. Fresh off this third British Senior Amateur title Lutz was the lone amateur of 23 to make the cut at Scioto Country Club.
The Junior PGA Championship, played at Wannamoisett Country Club, concluded on Friday and it was Norman Xiong and Lucy Li taking home their respective titles.
REGIONAL NEWS
In the Tennessee State Amateur, Wes Gosselin won in historic fashion while Tyler McArdell won the New York State Amateur in comeback style.
At the Florida Senior Open amateur Michael Weeks won against a talented professional field.
Out in the great northwest, Chase Carlson captured the Washington State Amateur on the sixth playoff hole.
Allyson Geer repeated at the Michigan Women's Amateur.
INTERNATIONAL NEWS
In Canada Hugo Bernard rallied and won the Canadian Amateur while Falko Hanisch won the British Boys' Amateur.
UPCOMING
On Monday the U.S. Amateur at the famed Oakland Hills Country Club teed off. The tournament will run through Sunday.
