Big East: South Florida leads after Round 2

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – USF recorded four sub-75 rounds to take the lead at the 2013 BIG EAST Men’s Golf Championship at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla., with a score of 577. The Bulls were led by freshman Chase Koepka who is in second place with a 140 (70-70). Trey Valentine proved consistent in the first two rounds to rank tied for fourth with a 143 (72-71).

Louisville jumped from tied for fifth yesterday to second place after shooting a 282. Robin Sciot-Siegrist (72-72), Antoine Le Saux (76-68) and Gus Lundquist (75-69) rank tied for sixth with scores of 144 each to lead the Cardinals. Le Saux and Lundquist bounced back from scores of 76 and 75 respectively to improve by a combined 14 strokes.

St. John’s finished the second round in third place with a 283 after finishing tied for eighth yesterday. Pat Wilson led St. John’s in Round 2 with a 70. Ryan Gay (3rd, 141), Ryan McCormick (T-6, 144) and Dylan Crowley (T23, 149) all scored a 71 to round out team scoring for the Red Storm.
