Haskins Four-Ball: Gallops/Garrity win with ease
COLUMBUS, Georgia (April 10, 2013) -- Bubba Gallops and Jared Garrity won with ease in the Haskins Flight at the 11th annual Haskins Four-Ball at the Country Club of Columbus.
Gallops and Garrity shot rounds of 65-68-63 to prevail by six shots over Billy Mitchell and Drew Bell (67-67-68--202).
Gallops and Garrity were among the leaders entering the final round but their red-hot 63 separated the group from the field for the prestigious title.
Madden Hatcher and Wright Waddel were third after rounds of 66-70-68--204.
The Haskins Four-Ball is played in honor of Golf Pro Fred Haskins, for whom the national collegiate player of the year award is named. Arthur Hills restored this Donald Ross gem that also hosts the Southeastern Amateur. The event is a 54-hole tournament with teams will be flighted after Round 2.
