PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 23, 2013) -- Anthony Quezada fired a first-round 64 and leads by three shots entering the second round of play at the 2013 Phoenix City Amateur Championship.
Held across three courses --- Maryvale, Aguila and Papago --- the Phoenix City Amateur Championship is in its 28th year, is now a 54-hole stroke-play tournament played over three days. Other courses in the Phoenix City rotation are Cave Creek and Encanto.
Eight-time winner Ken Kellaney leads a group of three players in second place with opening-round 67s. Kenton Steiner and Adam Walicki also shot 67.
John Enright, Jerry Loftis and Dustin Dalzell are all five shots back after 69s while Dane Allena and Tyler Matthews opened with 70s.
Play continues through Sunday.
