Jared Sawada T-5 and low am at Hawaii Pearl Open
AIEA, Hawaii (Feb. 11, 2013) -- Jared Sawada fired rounds of 71-67--138 to finish tied for fifth and as the low amateur at the 2013 Hawaii Pearl Open at Pearl Country Club.

Sawada was three shots behind winner Dong Seop Maeng.

John Oda, who shot 68-72--140, was 12th and the second low amateur.

ABOUT THE Hawaii Pearl Open

Tournament for the Governor John A Burns Challenge Cup. Each year, approximately half of the Hawaii Pearl Open field comes from Japan's professional golf tour, along with the country's top amateurs. Roughly half will be comprised of top pros and amateurs from Hawaii, as well as the U.S. mainland and elsewhere. There will be 8 sponsor's exemptions and the final 8-16 spots in the tournament field will be determined via a qualifying round at Pearl Country Club. The field will be cut to the top 72 players (and ties) after two rounds for the final 18 holes of play.
