Coronado City Championship: Simoni wins by 2

CORONADO, CA (November 26, 2005) -- Coronado G.C. Tournament Director Jamie
Darnell reported results from the Coronado City Championship, which concluded
on Sunday.
Gerry Simoni of Carlsbad fired a first round 63, tying the competitive course
record (former Coronado Professional Jim Robyn holds the regular record at 62)
and followed it with a 74 to win by 2 strokes over Tom Isaak and Joshua Warthen.
Isaak defeated Warthen on the 5th hole of a sudden death playoff to determine 2nd place outright.

36-hole
stroke play event with Open and Senior divisions. Must
be at least 16 years of age with current amateur
status. Max handicap 6.0. Played in memory of
longtime Coronado GC Professional John Ruedi.

skyline from famous Coronado Island.
