West Virginia Four-Ball: Tinney, Baldwin lead
DANIELS, WV (June 2, 2012) -- Green Bank’s Chad Baldwin and Hurricane’s Brandon Tinney have the lead after the first round of the 2012 WV Four-Ball Championship at The Resort at Glade Springs. The team shot 6-under-par 66 on the resort’s Cobb Course. Two strokes behind the leaders are Williamstown’s Steve Jackson and Brian McPherson, of Belpre, Ohio. Both teams will be in tomorrow’s final pairing group, playing the Stonehaven Course.

Low round of the day today on Glade’s Stonehaven was an even-par 72, with three teams making the even-par score.

Ninety-four teams are playing in this weekend’s State Championship, with both the resort’s Cobb and Stonehaven courses being utilized.

Tee times for tomorrow’s final round will begin at 8 a.m. tomorrow, with the lead group teeing off at 9:50 a.m.

Entries are open to male amateur golfers with an active GHIN Handicap index through a WVGA Member Club. The championship will be a 36-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play Event.
