Carlton Woods Invitational winner to get key exemptions
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Carlton Woods Invitational is ascending to the national stage with “Coast to Coast” exemptions in 2012.

In 2006, The Club at Carlton Woods had a vision to create one of the most prestigious events in amateur golf, six years later the Invitational is making a big push towards accomplishing that goal.

After attracting a national field of players and building a solid foundation for the future, the Carlton Woods Invitational is moving to the national stage with the announcement of two special exemptions for our winners this year.

The Mid-Am and Senior division winner will receive an exemption into the Stocker Cup and the Crane Cup invitational tournaments. Exemptions into these two prominent amateur events will provide added excitement and prestige to the 2012 Carlton Woods Invitational.

ABOUT THE Carlton Woods Invitational

An 54-hole stroke play invitational golf tournament played at The Club at Carlton Woods in a beautiful Houston community called The Woodlands, where golf is one of the top activities. The field is divided into Mid-Amateur and Senior Divisions. There is a cut after two rounds, with the low 50% and ties of the field playing the third round of the Championship, and the remainder competing in an 18 hole Consolation event.
