Western Province Amateur: Justin Turner rolling
CAPE TOWN, S. Africa (April 27, 2012) -- Justin Turner remained on course for the double as he recorded two relatively straight forward victories at Mowbray today.

The morning quarters saw Turner face Gerlou Roux. Roux made a couple of early errors and then Turner has six 3s in the middle of his round to end the match on the 13th.In the semi finals, Turner faced Limpopo's Paul de Beer, who has earlier beaten Dylan Raubenheimer 2/1. The match was tight early as the players each made 2 birdies in the first 7 holes before De Beer dropped shots on 8, 9 and 11. Turner was able to birdie 10 and 14 to win 4/3. All in all he made 10 birdies and an eagle in the two matches with only a single blemish.

The other finalist is unheralded Free Stater Jacques De Villiers. In the morning he faced the countries number one player, Brandon Stone. De Villiers was 1up playing the tough 18th before Stone produced a stunning approach to take the game to extra holes. On the first extra hole, Stone made his worst swing of the week and drove out of bounds to gift De Villiers the game. In the semi finals he faced impressive Breyton Meyer-a player who has impressed all with his ability to make birdies. The match appeared a game too far for Meyer who just ran out of gas.

Tomorrow's36 hole final starts at 07h20 and will see Turner, the last WP player to win this title back in 2008 attempt to become the first ever WP player to do the double.
