MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 3, 2012) -- Dynamic Gold, the No. 1 shaft in golf, scored its third straight win on the PGA TOUR this weekend at the Shell Houston Open. The event also marked the 15th time that shafts designed and manufactured by True Temper Sports were in the winner's bag this season.

Playing Dynamic Gold, the Shell Houston Open champion tied for No.1 in Greens in Regulation and reclaimed his FedEx Cup lead. He shot a 1-under 71 to win his second event and become the first two-time champion on Tour this year.

"When you are playing at the highest level of the game, consistency in your irons is key and Dynamic Gold has proven time and again that it delivers wins on the pro tours," says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. "This weekend, 122 players in the Shell Houston Open field trusted their game to shafts by True Temper. As the industry gears up for the season's first Major this weekend at The Masters, we expect to see our shafts leading the field once again."

Featuring an internal tip reinforcement technology and tighter weight sorting tolerance for precision custom fitting, Dynamic Gold shafts are preferred by skilled players who often want a low, penetrating ball flight. Dynamic Gold shafts are available in tapered and parallel irons and parallel woods.
