Auburn leads Hottie at Bulls Bay
AWENDAW, S.C. (March 26, 2012) -- The No. 2 Auburn men's golf team fired a season-low 13-under 275 for a 16-under total and has a seven stroke lead over No. 15 Texas A&M and Kentucky after the second round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay on Monday. Blayne Barber's 6-under 66 and Dominic Bozzelli's 68 paced the Tigers as Barber is in second, one shot behind Texas A&M's Cameron Peck at 7-under, and a shot ahead of Bozzelli, who is tied for third.

"Today was a total team effort, and I am extremely proud of everyone," said head coach Nick Clinard. "Michael (Hebert) led us off and played very well which was great to see. He is a big-time player if he trusts himself. The team closed strong and we are looking forward to tomorrow. It will be a challenge, and we will be ready to play."

Barber jumped 16 spots on the leaderboard with his season-low tying round that included an eagle on No. 15 and birdies on Nos. 2, 4, 5, 13, 14 and 16. Bozzelli eagled the fourth hole en route to his 4-under 68. Niclas Carlsson is in ninth at 4-under after shooting a 70, while Will McCurdy had a 71 and is tied for 15th at 1-under.
