MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Feb. 20, 2012) -- The No. 1 selling golf shaft of all-time, Dynamic Gold by True Temper, provided consistency and accuracy shot after shot this weekend to win the Northern Trust Open on the PGA Tour and the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship on the Nationwide Tour.
In a dramatic three-way playoff at the Northern Trust Open, all three players delivered vintage highlights playing shafts by True Temper. The eventual champion birdied the second playoff hole to win the event, playing Dynamic Gold, while the two second-place finishers relied on Project X and Dynamic Gold.
On the Nationwide Tour, the winner trusted his iron play to Dynamic Gold and walked away with the first tournament title of the 2012 season and his third career title. “For the third consecutive week of the 2012 season, True Temper shafts have delivered a winning performance on the PGA Tour,” says Chad Hall, director of product marketing and global tour operations for True Temper Sports. “We extend a sincere congratulations to the champion and both runner-ups for a fantastic week capped off with some of the most exciting golf we’ve seen so far this year.”
True Temper also dominated the field at this weekend’s events. At the Northern Trust Open, there were 115 sets of True Temper shafts in play and nine out of the top 10 players at both the Northern Trust Open and Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship played True Temper shafts.
Dynamic Gold shafts feature True Temper’s proprietary Variable Wall Technology and tighter weight sorting tolerance for precision custom fitting, and they are preferred by skilled players seeking a low, penetrating ball flight. Dynamic Gold shafts are available in tapered and parallel irons and parallel woods.
