Paul Misko takes Santa Barbara County Amateur by two strokes

LOMPOC, CALIF. (Oct. 24, 2011) -- Paul Misko carded rounds of 75-74--149 to win the Santa Barbara County Amateur by three strokes over a quartet of players at 152.

This is Misko's second victory of the year. In May he captured the Desert Amateur at the PGA west complex in La Quinta, Calif.

Mark Wyllie (74-78--152), Russell Boring (78-74--152), Jimmy Clemson (80-72--152), and James Holley (77-75--152) all tied for second place.

La Purisima Golf Course is the host of the Santa Barbara County Championship. This 36 hole amateur event typically boasts a large number of entries in the Championship Flight but also fields a Handicap Flight. Located 15 minutes west of Hwy 101 just outside of Lompoc, California, La Purisima is known for its fair but rigorous test of pure golf that has challenged PGA Tour Qualifiers and earned a spot on Golf Magazine's Top 100 Places to Play in the United States. It is the only course in California between Monterrey and Simi Valley to be named to this prestigious list.
