ROCHESTER, NY. (Oct. 2, 2011) -- Rob Cowan and teammate Dave Bunker along with Seniors John Pate and Kelly Roberts, all Canadians, took home titles at the rain shortened John R. Williams Four Ball Championship held at the venerable Oak Hill CC in Rochester, NY.

Cowan and Bunker carded rounds of 65-67-37--169 to take the top spot in the championship division, edging out Bill Hutcheson and Dan Keough, also of Canada, by a single stroke.

In the Senior Division, John Pate and partner Kelly Roberts fired rounds of 71-69-37--177 to defeat Ron Waeghe of Greensboro, GA and partner Russ Hackler of Tulsa, Ok by one stroke.

With heavy rain forecasted for Saturday the final round was shortened to nine holes

ABOUT THE John R. Williams Four-Ball

54-hole two man best ball format. By invitation only. Entrants must have a handicap of 3.4 or less, with the team total not to exceed 5.5. Handicap Index must be verified by your club professional on the invitation request form. Both members of teams in the Senior Division must be 55 years of age by the first day of the tournament. (Senior index requirements are 4.4 individual and 7.2 team.)
