Mass. Mid-Am: Calef primed for first MGA title

BOURNE, Mass. (Sept. 14, 2011) -- As you watch Mike Calef (Brockton CC) make his way around Pocasset Golf Club at the 2011 Massachusetts Mid-Amateur Championship, there is a distinct sense of calm surrounding the 32-year-old veteran.

His two-day total of 2-under par 142 gives him a one-stroke lead over the field and puts him in a strong position to win what would be his first MGA title, but this week is not just about golf for Calef.
