So. Carolina Mid-Am Four Ball: Final results
CALLAWASSIE ISLAND, S.C. (Aug. 21, 2011) -- Scott Friday and Chris Eassy managed to make just enough birdies on the final day to pull away from the pack and win the SCGA Mid Amateur Four Ball with a two-day total of 132.

The Greer and Simpsonville duo made five birdies and no bogeys to shoot a final round of 67 and win the Championship held at Callawassie Island Club by one over hard charging Max Fain and Richard Burgess. Fain and Burgess shot a final round of 64 to finish at eleven under par 133.

Also shooting eight-under-par on the day were Todd Hendley and Duff Wagner who tied Josh Branyon and Matt Davis along with David Dargan and Eddie Hargett for third at 134. Defending Champions Matt Laydon and Darrell Connelly finished tied for twelfth at 137.

The 2011 SCGA Mid Amateur Four Ball Championship was played on the par 72 – 6,802 yard Dogwood and Magnolia courses at the Callawassie Island Club. The field consisted of 64 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over thirty six holes.

ABOUT THE South Carolina Mid-Am Four-Ball

The Mid Am Four Ball is what we call a "working man's" event with participants over the age of 30 partnering up with a teammate and playing a 36 hole Four Ball event. The Mid Am Four Ball has historically been a very competitive event with a great atmosphere of fun and friendship.
