South Dakota Mid-Amateur: Long takes title
SIOUX FALLS, SD. (July 24, 2011) - Chris Long of Garretson won his second consecutive SDGA Championship on Sunday, winning the Men's Mid-Amateur Championship at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls.

Long, who teamed with Shannon Johnson to win the Mixed Team Championship a week ago, parred the final hole to beat Brandon Sigmund by one stroke. Long, the reigning Men's Amateur Championship, won with a 36-hole score of 4-under-par 140.

Sigmund, who was tied with Long heading to the final hole, was second at 143.

Scott Holm of Brookings was third at 144.

Rapid City's Tyler Rachetto, the Match Play champ, and Chad Dubisar of Sioux Falls were next at 145.

George Christopulos of Soux Falls won the second flight (152), Nick Heig of Rapid City won the third flight (160), Mike Noah of Sioux Falls won the fourth flight (159) and Cullen Prasek of Watertown won the fifth flight (172).
